Well done to our team from Scoil Chaitríona Junior who represented us so well at the Junior Spider Awards in Dublin yesterday.  The school is so proud of you!

Congratulations

to Ms. Conneely's junior infant class and to Ms. McLoughlin's senior infant class who represented us so well in the Féile Scoildrámaíochta in Inverin last Wednesday.

We are absolutely thrilled with the news we heard this evening:

Both classes have made it through to the next round of the Féile in Inverin next week.

• Ms. McLoughlin's class WON their group (infant classes)!
• Lauren  from Ms. McLoughlin's class won the "Best Actor Award" for her part as the Banríon!
• Our school (Ms. McLoughlin's class) won the award for the "Best school that is neither a Gaeltacht school nor a Gaelscoil"!

Mayor Terry O'Flaherty will visit our school 

on Thursday 7th February at 12pm to officially open our new school library.

We had our carol service in the church this evening.

It was a wonderful occasion.

Well done to all our singers and readers, you were fantastic, and to all for dressing up so nicely and being so good!

A Hearty Thank You

To the parents who helped with the covering of the books for the new library.

Thank you so much for all your help.

A hearty "Thank You" too to all the parents and grandparents who sponsored us for our Halloween walk, who helped us with our costumes, and who came to see our Thriller dance today.

Well done to all, and especially to our Thriller coordinator, Ms.Lally.  WOW!!!!

Countdown to our Halloween walk and Halloween night

It is October and all classes are getting ready for Hallowe'en. Watch out for great Hallowe'en art all round the school. The highlight of Hallowe'en for us is our annual fundraiser - our "Hallowe'en Walk". We will be dressing up for Hallowe'en and walking round Renmore on the morning of Friday 26th October. Thanks to all for help with the sponsorship money, and with the costumes. See you all on the 26th!

All 2nd class children and the after school "Glee Club" will perform Thriller Dance Routine on the school yard after the Halloween Walk on Friday Oct 26th  (weather permitting).  There will be two showings, one at 10:15am and the next at 1:15pm.

Be prepared to be scared at our Monster Dance!

Up Galway!

Tomorrow, we are having a 'Maroon and White' day! We are showing our county colours to support the Galway Senior Hurling team who are playing Kilkenny on Sunday in this year's All Ireland Final in Croke Park. All children and staff are being asked to wear maroon and white to school tomorrow if they have it at home. Let's show our support! Gaillimh Abú!!
